Live food

I think it says a lot about a person – or at the very least it indicates that they have reptiles – when a) they get excited about payday because it means a new livefood order (I get my crickets, hoppers, mealworms, morio worms and waxworms from the local Pets at Home, other live foods come from online suppliers), and b) upon finding a cricket on their jeans they’re just about to put on, they merely say, ‘oh, hello cricket’, and give it to one of their reptiles (in this case Keiko).

So my current order of food consists of:
1 Springtails standard culture
1 Calci-Worms Large (same species as Phoenix Worms) x 50
1 Butterworms Extra Large x 25. 30-50mm
1 Buffalo Worms 100g

The springtails aren’t for food – they’re to keep mould at bay in the snail tanks, and possibly also in Irwin’s vivarium, I’m not sure yet.

In case you can’t tell, Keiko loves his worms!
